Aftercare
Tattoo Aftercare
01| Treat your new tattoo like you would a fresh wound.
02| After 24 hours, wash the clear Saniderm bandage with warm water and gently remove from the skin. Do NOT rip off!
03| Wash the tattoo using your ring finger with Mad Rabbit Tattoo Wash or a fragrance-free anti-bacterial soap and warm water 2-3 times a day. Be very gentle while washing, DO NOT SCRUB, and gently pat dry.
04 | Apply a very thin layer of Mad Rabbit Soothing Gel or Aquaphor after your morning shower and before bedtime, after washing your tattoo.
05 | Avoid sun exposure and submerging your tattoo in water for 3 weeks.
06 | After your tattoo has fully healed, use tattoo-friendly Mad Rabbit Sunscreen from now on. Extreme exposure to the sun can permanently change the color and cause fading to your tattoo.
07 | It typically takes 10-21 days for a tattoo to fully heal. Some tenderness is normal.
08 | NEVER pick or rub the tattoo as it is healing. Touch your tattoo as little as possible and only with clean hands.
09 | After fully healed, use Mad Rabbit Body Lotion to keep your tattoo looking its best!
Piercing Aftercare
01| Clean your hands thoroughly before touching or cleaning your piercing.
02| Use sterile saline wash during the healing process 2-3 times a day. There's no need to move or twist the jewelry while cleaning, as this can cause irritation and could possibly lead to a piercing bump.
03| Dry the area with clean, disposable items such as gauze or cotton swabs. Avoid using cloth towels, as they can hold bacteria and catch on jewelry.
04 |Avoid sleeping on your piercing during the healing process.
05 | Avoid swimming or submerging your piercing in bodies of water until the piercing is fully healed.
06 |Swelling, bruising, tenderness, itching, and some crust or whitish fluid are all normal.
07 |It typically takes 6-8 weeks for a piercing to initially heal and can take up to 4-6 months depending on the person and type of piercing received.
